I only have the lowest end iPad and that isn't quite as powerful as it needs to be.Behemoth mediahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06224320582603239565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-414147859974935053.post-16386942239896413272020-03-15T22:21:42.980-04:002020-03-15T22:21:42.980-04:00Or you could try inking it in Procreate... just sa...Or you could try inking it in Procreate... just saying. :DT'https://www.blogger.com/profile/07986564213736430022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-414147859974935053.post-83347978562799372112020-03-15T05:25:41.226-04:002020-03-15T05:25:41.226-04:00They are certainly looser than my pen and ink draw...They are certainly looser than my pen and ink drawings on paper, the stuff I was doing while we working at the Picnic took me months sometimes to draw... not exactly spontaneous! I have always used ebony pencils for drawing becuase they are so black, like ink. But I am thinking maybe they are limiting the tonal range to darker ranges. I will do some pencil and ink over it with rapidigraph pen nextBehemoth mediahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06224320582603239565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-414147859974935053.post-56060346497334920722020-03-14T22:49:31.619-04:002020-03-14T22:49:31.619-04:00It's as much drawing as anything. But there...It's as much drawing as anything. But there's a difference. Neither is better than the other. I've really enjoyed pencil lately. But I keep looking for the undo button! Seriously! I've been trying to loosen up for my entire life with drawing. I'm sorta kinda starting to get there. I think these are the loosest thing I've seen you do yet. Keep going!T'https://www.blogger.com/profile/07986564213736430022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-414147859974935053.post-4811117279584270472020-03-14T07:22:35.513-04:002020-03-14T07:22:35.513-04:00I want to sketch outside and get more spontaneous ...I want to sketch outside and get more spontaneous with my work. I could sketch on the iPad too, but it is; t the same and I really like the idea of not having to recharge anything when drawing. Just sharpening. I was surprised how much like my old drawings these came out. I thought my first attempt would be really... really... terrible and it wasn't. I think I was falling into the trap of believing drawing with a tablet is somehow not really drawing because... reasons I guess. In my case, I get looser the smaller my pencil gets. There's this sweet spot when the pencil is between about four and two inches long, which means the sweet spot doesn't last long! Keep sketching with pencil. You might find mixing media is a lot of fun.T'https://www.blogger.com/profile/07986564213736430022noreply@blogger.com
