This was a test of how Affinity Photo 2 does with drawing. Spoiler: So-so. The brushes are OK but not as good as a dedicated drawing app and there is poor hand rejection which both Procreate and Sketchbook pro are pretty good at. Rotating the screen was difficult as well and I didn't find the way to lock the screen orientation while I was drawing. I am sure it is there but it wasn't apparent to me.

Still came out pretty well, especially the eye. You have a number of alternatives, so I guess there's no reason to wrestle with AP though it's good to know you can. I think the empty background works particularly well on this one as it somehow feels like the open sea, beach without it actually being there.
I thought of this more of an ink 'sketch" just the subject and nothing else to see how it looked. AP on the desktop is easier for me to draw on since there isn't a hand rejection issue. Sketchbook pro has been acting up on the iPad lately as well!
