I started and restarted this a few times, so many times I actually thought I had done several versions already! I finally decided on ink with colour under it using Procreate. It actually looks OK without the ink, rough but it's all there. I am not super confident with full landscapes, especially in colour but this came out like I wanted it and I think it has depth to it.

A lovely image. Feels sort of like the story you're animating without the cliff. Can we see the version without the lines? I do that all the time and often like the result better than with lines. Not saying this needs it, I'm just curious.
I sent you a non lines version. It looked better than I remembered. I still like the lined version but I do tend to use lines as a crutch and safety net and I don’t really have to all the time. I am hoping to go back this fall and get to a couple other lighthouses and places I want to photograph and draw before they are under water.
