Illustration: rejected book covers

I worked hard on these for a client for use as a book cover and they were rejected so I decided they could stand on their own as art for art's sake. Made mostly in Blender with compositing done in Affinity Studio.

All three are lovely. Pity they didn't like them but they all do work as stand alone illustrations. They seem really professional to me.

I think the publisher was pushing "Pirate" and the author was not into it. The current cover was made from AI elements they sent me and I had to modify extensively to make them useful and they seem on track now. The 3D project is stalled because of work and inheritance problems (due to my Canadianness). I hope that my last 2 contracts are done soon and the money stuff is figured out so I can move on and draw again! (Oh... and be retred!)
