Site Update: Behemoth media

I updated my portfolio/main website recently. There are new products, web animations and some rearranging of the materials there for 2022. There is a still much to do. The site has to be more friendly and organized towards potential clients I might get from online job search sites. A big might since I never seen get a peep from jobs I apply to from those sites as a rule. I have to get my act together and out together more motion graphics video in my demo reel as well. animated shorts have been a passion and they include motion graphic work but I need to show I can and have done more generalized work in that area.

Mobius Meadows Farmstead website

It's literally been years since I have designed a website. (Other than my own that is).  One the last year my good good friend Art Klossner has decided to sell some of the products he makes on his farm in Vermont and wanted to help out so I volunteered to design the site.  Now it's finally up and running.

Mobius Meadows Farmstead website

I also design the original logos, but in the end he decided to use one from someone else who incorporated a little ball of yarn into it and its quite nice. My first thoughts were to do something classy that included a mobius loop which was the logo for almost right up until the site went live. He was feeling not great about ti so I made another more fun and light. Honestly I like them both and designing logos while frustrating at point can be fun. I guess the same can be said of websites, though I enjoyed this one much more than those in the past because I stopped using Dreamweaver and switched to Sparkle which is much more like a page layout program and doesn't even allow you to code. The closest is comes to that is letting you embed things but even that is very visually done.

So I'm glad to too this on and glad it's finally online! Not sure I'll be doing more sites in future as that market share has been mostly eaten up by do it yourself/design in your browser companies that set up for free and make their money by selling you the domain and renting the server space.

This is the logo decided on in the end by Tim Palin.

Behemoth site update

I finally got the nerve to dump Dreamweaver and bought Sparkle, which I wrote about earlier this year. I don't do much internet design anymore so it's mostly just my own site and a couple others I maintain. I thought it would take weeks to months to get it right, like a Dreamweaver reboot would have but it honestly only took a day to work out most of it. After a few weeks I went back and changed a few things after thinking harder about some of the features.

Also, I added my dew doc, Village Gai, my new animation Cool Air and a couple of the science shorts I do for Dr. Christopher labor at Mouton No More. I updated my CVs too so its all up to date for 2017.

2014 updates

This page (as you may have noticed) is updated with a new look. The Portfolio has a similar update, is rearranged and added a new demo-reel and a page for stuff on sale. Should be less complicated to fond things and the video page is less overwhelming and all on one page instead of in a clickable html database.

Huge site update!

Behemothmedia.com has had a major update. Mostly it's a simplification of the site, making it much more a portfolio page and less and information source of what's going on... that's what the blog is for! I also decided to host videos and photos off site as much as possible. I just saves time and resources and always for more flexibility.

I am sure it won't please everyone... it already hasn't in fact, but overall it's a step in the right direction I think. The point is to give potential clients a look at my work and that's what it does.

Not sure I'll keep that photo on the front page. I do believe that most people like to "see" who they might be hiring, but that photo I'm not so sure about.

Current work

I am working on a retouching project not finished so I can't post anything yet, however I did finish a total redesign of the BADA (Boston Art dealers Association) site after doing the original a decade ago.

New website client updates

George Macneil's photography site received a complete overhaul recently. I went for a much more simplified interface and increased the amount of photos available for viewing by over 3 times.

Also Art Maps Boston got a facelift. Since the site's launch there have been a few changes in the gallery scene in boston and this reflects that. Dana Wynne once again provides the excellent map design.

I will be updating the main site for Behemoth media soon. It will not change much but will easier to navigate. Also look for new showreels and "client focus" links that better display all the things I do with a single client.

Cheryl Warrick - site update

Artist Cheryl Warrick had me update her site not too long ago and I though it deserved a little notice here. She recently added a blog to her site as well where she is showing her illustrations. Please check it out and feel to contact her if you see anything you simply must have and buy it!

I will be showing more updated site here very soon I think.
